You will join a centralized team of database engineers dedicated to maintaining and supporting the bank's most critical Analytics platforms. As a Redshift DBA, you are a key member of a group responsible for ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of large-scale cloud-hosted database systems that power the organization's data infrastructure.
This position serves as a strategic partner in the evolution of the bank's data architecture. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing highly available and resilient database solutions, specifically focusing on Redshift, Snowflake, or Neo4J environments. The role demands a deep understanding of cloud computing models and security concepts to protect organizational assets against threats such as SQL injection, data breaches, and ransomware.
In this capacity, you will not only troubleshoot complex database issues—including integrity, blocking, and performance bottlenecks—but also lead the design of disaster recovery, failover, and load balancing strategies. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop comprehensive backup plans, optimize query performance, and implement CI/CD pipelines using tools like Terraform, Bitbucket, and Jenkins. The role requires a proactive mindset to mentor junior team members, present architectural designs to tech boards, and continuously evaluate new information technologies to drive business value.
Candidates selected for this role will undergo a rigorous evaluation process designed to assess both technical depth and cultural fit. The interview journey typically includes:
