About the Program
The Breakwater Program is a long-term therapeutic community located in Methuen, MA, dedicated to adolescent males referred by the Department of Children and Families. We utilize trauma-informed care, cognitive behavioral therapy, family support, and recovery-based approaches to treat substance abuse. Our mission is to help youth build pro-social skills, support their recovery journey, and work toward a stable, productive future.
About the Role
As a Recovery Specialist II, you will play a pivotal role in guiding and supporting youth through their recovery process. This position involves maintaining primary responsibility for the safety and security of residents and staff during your shift, ensuring behavior management protocols are applied consistently, and overseeing Recovery Specialist I personnel. You will also be responsible for maintaining the orderliness of the program milieu by ensuring strict adherence to structure and schedules.
Schedule
This role operates on a night shift schedule from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM, requiring staff to remain awake overnight. A minimum of one weekend shift is required, based on program availability at the time of hire.
Compensation & Incentives
We are offering a $3,000 bonus for new hires. The pay rate for this position is $21.00–$23.00 per hour. Additionally, we provide a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and vision insurance, company-paid life insurance, employee assistance programs, generous paid time off, tuition reimbursement, loan repayment options, and a 401k with a company match up to 7%.
