Receiving Attendant

About the Role

As a Receiving Attendant, you serve as the vital link between our suppliers and the hotel's various departments. Under the guidance of the Purchasing Supervisor, your primary mission is to ensure that all goods and supplies are received, inspected, stored, and issued with a strict emphasis on accuracy, organization, and compliance with safety standards. You play a key part in maintaining the operational efficiency of the hotel by ensuring that every outlet receives the necessary materials in a timely manner.

Day in the Life

Your day involves managing the flow of incoming deliveries, verifying orders against purchase orders and packing slips, and coordinating delivery vehicles in designated spots. You will inspect goods for quantity, quality, and condition, documenting any discrepancies or damages immediately. A significant portion of your time is dedicated to the safe and secure storage of food, beverage, and general supplies, strictly adhering to FEFO (First Expire, First Out) principles and food safety standards.

You will operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks to move goods safely, while maintaining the cleanliness and organization of all storage areas. Your role requires accurate logging of items into inventory systems and coordinating with Accounts Payable regarding receipts and invoices. Additionally, you will issue requested items to departments according to approved requisitions and maintain detailed records for audit and internal control requirements.
