Receiver/Stocker

About the Role

Ace Hardware Stockers and Receivers play a vital role in keeping our stores organized and ready for customers. As a Receiver/Stocker, you are responsible for the backbone of our inventory management: receiving shipments, unloading trucks, and organizing stock, and ensuring the sales floor is well-stocked and visually appealing.

This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy physical activity, organization, and working behind the scenes to support store operations. Whether you are processing large overnight shipments or maintaining the daily flow of inventory, your work ensures that our customers have access to the products they need.

Day in the Life

Your day will involve a mix of warehouse and floor tasks. You will receive and inspect incoming shipments, ensuring accuracy and condition of goods. From there, you will organize inventory in the stockroom and prepare products for the sales floor. This includes stocking shelves, building attractive product displays, and performing regular inventory counts to maintain accuracy.

For those working overnight shifts, the focus is on preparing the store for the next day. This involves handling large shipments, extensive stocking, and ensuring the warehouse and sales floor are clean and organized before the store opens. The role may require lifting heavy items and operating equipment and operating pallet jacks, so physical stamina and attention to safety are key.
