About the Role
This position provides comprehensive respiratory care treatment, oxygen services, diagnostic testing, and ventilation support to in-patients and out-patients ranging in age from neonatal to geriatric. You will be an essential part of the clinical team, monitoring and weaning oxygen therapy and artificial ventilation, drawing and analyzing arterial blood gases and EKGs, and delivering intermittent therapies. Your role involves assisting with the changing of artificial airways and providing services as ordered by physicians in accordance with established policies and procedures.

Ochsner Health is looking for candidates who meet the following requirements: Associate's Degree; Current License as a Respiratory Therapist in the state of practice; Certified Respiratory Therapist credential from the National Board of Respiratory Care; Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from the American Heart Association; Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification (for NICU therapists); and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification (must be obtained within 90 days of hire).
