About the Role

This position provides comprehensive respiratory care treatment, oxygen services, diagnostic testing, and ventilation support to both in-patients and out-patients ranging in age from neonatal to geriatric. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will be an essential part of the clinical team, monitoring and weaning oxygen therapy and artificial ventilation, drawing and analyzing arterial blood gases and EKGs, and delivering intermittent therapy. You will assist with changing artificial airways and provide services as ordered by physicians in accordance with established policies and procedures.

Your work involves performing routine and advanced therapeutic procedures, reviewing and documenting all clinical information, and educating patients and co-workers on treatment plans. You will provide care based on physical, psycho-social, and educational criteria appropriate to the age of the patient served in your assigned area. This role requires maintaining professional certifications and staying current with technical procedures while attending staff meetings and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws and accreditation standards.
