HII Mission Technologies is seeking a Range Training Officer (RTO) to support daily operations, mission execution, and training events for the Air Force Weapons School at Nellis AFB. This role is ideal for candidates with backgrounds in air traffic control, mission operations, range operations, or similar command-and-control environments.
In this position, you will partner with instructors, mission crews, and range personnel to keep live-fly and simulated events running smoothly. Your day will involve supporting daily training missions by tracking mission flow, timing, and overall safety, while assisting with basic scenario setup and making adjustments as missions unfold. You will maintain general awareness of aircraft and range activity, coordinate with range control to support proper airspace use, and help with communication and deconfliction between participating aircraft and range agencies.
You will also support instructors during mission briefs and debriefs by sharing timelines, observations, and mission details. This includes helping to update and maintain training materials, checklists, and documentation, as well as assisting with the execution of larger training events and exercises. You will follow established safety procedures and range rules while providing troubleshooting support for mission systems and displays during operations.
