About the Role

The R&D Scientist role merges analytics and systematic investigation with specialized knowledge of the biology and mass production of bumblebees and beneficial insects to drive successful production programs. Working cross-functionally, you will actively contribute to the development and continuous improvement of production processes to ensure efficient, cost-effective, high-quality products.

You will serve as an internal subject matter expert, translating research questions into practical, testable hypotheses. Your day-to-day involves independently performing hands-on bench or field work, managing project workflows, and ensuring the timely completion of high-quality trials. You will leverage analytics to deepen the understanding of production and biological systems, while supporting Quality Assurance, Materials Planning, Logistics, and Production departments. This role requires a blend of laboratory precision and field adaptability, often navigating environments ranging from air-conditioned offices to wet labs and outdoor production sites.
