This position serves as a vital link in the diagnostic process, operating radiology equipment and performing routine diagnostic procedures as prescribed by physicians. The role is designed to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of disease by adhering to established standards and practices.
Radiologic technologists in this role exercise professional judgment to select and compute appropriate settings for each patient. They are responsible for developing and implementing procedure and treatment plans utilizing established hospital protocols and guidelines. Beyond clinical execution, the role involves maintaining equipment and work areas in a neat and safe condition to ensure the safety of both patients and staff, as well as participating in performance improvement activities to monitor and uphold quality care standards.
