Jefferson Health is a nationally ranked, not-for-profit health care system serving the Philadelphia, Lehigh Valley, and Northeastern Pennsylvania regions, as well as southern New Jersey. With over 65,000 colleagues, Jefferson is dedicated to reimagining health care and higher education to create unparalleled value. The system comprises 32 hospital campuses and more than 700 outpatient locations, serving millions of patients annually. Abington Memorial Hospital is a key part of this network, committed to providing the highest-quality, compassionate clinical care while fostering a culture of innovation and community strength.
The Radiology Technical Aide is a vital support role within the MRI Department, serving as a bridge between patients and the clinical team. This position covers five distinct sites: Abington, Lansdale, Warminster, Blue Bell, and North Willow Grove, requiring flexibility to travel and work across all locations as operational needs dictate.
In this role, you will perform a wide variety of routine duties that blend clerical, non-technical, and patient-facing functions. Your day-to-day involves assisting radiologists, technologists, and nurses by managing patient check-ins, preparing patients for visits, and providing assistance during procedures. You will also handle patient transportation and ensure examination rooms are stocked and ready for the next procedure. The ideal candidate is highly motivated, possesses superb customer service skills, and thrives in a dynamic environment where tasks may change frequently.
This is a Per Diem (PRN) position with a rotating shift schedule. The role requires availability for 1-2 shifts during the week, every other weekend, and at least one holiday per year. This flexibility allows you to support the hospital's continuous operations while accommodating your own schedule.
Candidates must hold a High School diploma or GED equivalent and possess a valid CPR Certification. Previous medical office experience and knowledge of medical terminology are preferred. The interview process will focus on assessing your interpersonal skills, ability to handle multiple tasks, and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality.
