This position serves as a Radiologic Technologist (X-Ray) within the Urgent Care and Occupational Medicine department. As a float pool role, you will have the flexibility and ability to work across multiple clinic locations, including Quincy, Steele, Sterling Ranch, and Castle Rock. This role is designed for a practitioner who thrives in varied environments and is eager to contribute to secure safety and quality at the point of care.
You will review patient histories, initiate radiographic images based on physician orders, and prioritize procedural patient education to ensure mutual understanding. Your responsibilities include safely administering contrast media or associated imaging medications while monitoring patient conditions, and responding to changes in patient status as appropriate. You will implement techniques to yield clarity in images, perform quality control, and ensure equipment functionality based on established best practices in Radiology.
This position offers a clinical ladder for promotion, allowing you to progress from a Level I to a Level II practitioner. These ladders support enhanced professional development, provide a reward system for excellence in clinical performance, and promote high-quality practice. The program provides meaningful opportunities to enhance confidence for healthcare professionals in direct patient care roles and includes opportunities to model proficiency by precepting those new to imaging or UCHealth.
