This position serves as a critical bridge between engineering, manufacturing, and external stakeholders, ensuring that precision products meet rigorous contractual and regulatory standards. As a hands-on leader, you will design and implement the quality control frameworks that govern the inspection, testing, and evaluation of complex electronic and optical assemblies. Your work directly impacts the accuracy and reliability of systems delivered to government and defense clients.
In this role, you will lead Material Review Boards (MRB) and drive Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis (PFMEA) activities to proactively identify risks. You will investigate nonconformities across mechanical, electrical, and electro-mechanical systems, translating data into actionable corrective action plans. Beyond technical analysis, you will manage supplier relationships, overseeing audits, vetting new vendors, and ensuring that quality clauses are effectively integrated into purchasing agreements.
You will act as the primary interface for quality matters with customers, vendors, and subcontractors, coordinating the resolution of non-conformances and verifying the effectiveness of corrective actions. Your leadership extends to guiding a team of quality control personnel, fostering a culture of continuous improvement through Lean Six Sigma methodologies, and ensuring that quality processes are seamlessly integrated into the product development lifecycle.
