About the Role
We are seeking an Incoming/Receiving Quality Inspector (Inspector II) to join our team in a regulated FDA/ISO 13485 environment. This position is critical for ensuring the integrity of our supply chain by performing rigorous visual, dimensional, and functional inspections of purchased materials, components, and products.
In this role, you will be the first line of defense for quality, utilizing optical inspection under 30× magnification and advanced measurement tools to validate incoming parts. You will support First Article Inspection (FAI) and Gauge Repeatability and Reproducibility (GR&R) activities, ensuring that every component meets our strict standards before it enters production.
Day in the Life
Your day will involve operating a variety of test and measurement equipment, including calipers, micrometers, gages, and Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM). You will interpret complex drawings and basic Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) to perform precise inspections. A significant portion of your time will be dedicated to documenting non-conformances, maintaining detailed inspection records, and preparing comprehensive reports that outline findings and results.
Beyond routine testing, you will actively contribute to process improvement by recommending changes to policies and procedures, implementing new quality inspection processes, and assisting with the validation of inspection equipment (IQ/OQ/PQ). You will also collaborate with manufacturing teams to provide inspection training and support divisional initiatives related to Quality and Environmental Management Systems.
