Quality Control Supervisor

About the Role

The Quality Control Field Supervisor plays a vital role in optimizing plant efficiency and productivity by testing data and resolving issues directly at project sites. This position serves as a key partner to the Quality Manager, ensuring that all operations adhere to strict industry standards while maintaining open communication with plant operators, drivers, and customers.

The role is dynamic and hands-on, requiring you to inspect batch plants, aggregate stockpiles, and mix designs. You will be responsible for performing critical concrete tests—including moisture content, temperature, slump, and air content—in accordance with current ASTM, AASHTO, and DOT standards. Beyond testing, you will troubleshoot material and quality issues, prepare incident reports, and coordinate closely with internal teams such as sales, operations, and dispatch to ensure seamless project execution.

Working Conditions

This position is physically demanding and takes place in an active industrial environment. You will frequently work outdoors, potentially exposed to extreme hot or cold weather and wet conditions. The role requires the ability to climb, bend, squat, and lift up to 75 pounds (occasionally 100 pounds), as well as navigate rough terrain and uneven ground. You must be comfortable operating controls, using hand tools, and riding on rough terrain. Flexible hours, including varying start and stop times and required overtime, are essential to meet business needs.

Hiring Process
