This position executes the Electric Boat Supplier Management strategy within the Missile and Payload Tube, Casting, and Forging supplier marketspace. This specialized area collaborates with suppliers manufacturing complex and critical missile and payload tube components, as well as key casting and forging suppliers that feed direct Electric Boat purchase orders and other primary vendors within the Submarine Industrial Base.
The Supplier Quality (SQ) Analyst serves as a critical link in ensuring quality validation for "buy" part numbers, Vendor Information Requests (VIR), and part number reviews. The role involves performing analytical reviews of supplier quality data to support Supplier Quality Management plans. You will review required quality systems defined within part number requirements and validate that suppliers possess the appropriate quality management systems to support the execution of their work.
This role operates within the Submarine Industrial Base, requiring adaptability to various physical conditions including indoor and outdoor settings, noise, and temperature variations (cold and hot). The position may involve physical activities such as climbing, crawling, kneeling, stooping, and light lifting.

Education: High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalency required; Bachelor's degree in supply chain management or relevant discipline preferred.
Bachelor's degree in supply chain management or other relevant discipline, equivalent military service, or 3-5 years' experience in manufacturing, operations, data analysis, or contracts. Experience working with Quality requirements. Previous experience interpreting contractual requirements, manufacturing drawings, and military or commercial specifications. Working knowledge of MRP, Oracle, JCALS, and strong desktop computer skills using Microsoft programs (Excel, MSWord, Access, Power BI). Experience with Supplier Oversight. Auditing experience. Quality Certifications such as LEAN Six Sigma Green or Black Belt, ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), or other relevant ASQ certifications.
