Quality Assurance Technician

About the Role

As a Quality Assurance Technician, you will bring your passion for food safety to the front lines of manufacturing at our Rome, GA plant. This on-site position serves as the go-to resource for ensuring the quality and safety of our core products, supporting operations to maintain strict alignment with the Kellanova Food Safety Plan.

A Day in the Life

Your day will involve providing on-shift guidance for all aspects of quality and food safety. You will validate Certificates of Analysis for incoming raw materials, respond to food safety events, and verify Critical Control Points (CCP). You will also execute environmental monitoring programs and inspect processes prior to start-up.

Beyond daily operations, you will conduct plant food safety and security audits to identify hazards and areas for improvement. This includes performing daily product evaluations and delivering training to employees on food safety, HACCP, GMPs, and SOPs. You will also support plant projects involving new equipment and products, acting as an Internal Auditor for critical pre-requisite programs.

Shift and Schedule

This is a night shift position working 5:00 PM to 5:00 AM. The schedule follows a rotating pattern of 4 days one week and 3 days the following week, with every other weekend off. Flexibility with overtime as needed is required.
