About the Role
Our California Active Consulting team in LA County, CA, is currently recruiting for a Qualified Behavioral Health Professional (QBHP). This role serves as an entry-level position that complements the BCBA-D, BCBA, and BCaBA credentials, reflecting the education and advanced training necessary for these duties.
The QBHP is primarily responsible for exercising discretion and judgment when coaching and training skill-acquisition and behavior-reduction plans with family members, caregivers, and agency staff. You will help families and providers build capacity by training them on data collection, certain types of assessments (e.g., stimulus preference assessments), and monitoring of Behavior Support Plans. Additionally, you will assist with crisis de-escalation and afterhours support as needed, ensuring that positive behavioral supports are modeled and emergency situations are handled according to training.
