We are seeking a skilled Python Developer to join our core development team. In this long-term position based in East Hartford, CT, you will focus on designing, building, and optimizing modern web applications that support data-driven products. The role sits at the intersection of backend engineering and data engineering, requiring you to leverage Python API development alongside robust SQL scripting and ETL processes.
You will be responsible for developing high-performance microservices and managing complex data pipelines. This involves writing and optimizing PySpark and SQL code within Databricks, utilizing Medallion Architecture, and ensuring seamless integration with cloud environments like Azure. The ideal candidate thrives in an Agile environment, managing tasks independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable solutions.
Our technology stack is built on a foundation of Python, FastAPI, and Flask, complemented by a modern frontend using React and Redux. You will work extensively with containerization tools like Kubernetes (AKS/EKS) and Docker, alongside data platforms such as MongoDB, Cosmos DB, and Synapse DB. Experience with event-driven architectures using Kafka and serverless functions like AWS Lambda is highly valued to support our distributed systems.
Candidates will be evaluated on their technical depth in Python and SQL, as well as their ability to design scalable microservices. The interview process typically includes a review of your experience with cloud-native development and data engineering patterns, followed by a discussion on your approach to full SDLC and Agile methodologies.
