The Purchasing Department is seeking dedicated professionals to join our team in two distinct capacities: Purchasing Agent and Strategic Sourcing Purchasing Agent. These roles are designed to support the department by managing and monitoring purchase contracts to ensure strict compliance with contract terms, Federal and State Laws, Regents and University policies, and the University's Strategic Plan.
The Purchasing Agent will primarily focus on managing commodities related to laboratory and scientific equipment and consumables, vehicles, and service agreements. This role involves issuing competitive solicitations, including Requests for Quotes, Proposals, and Qualifications, while ensuring adherence to departmental and divisional mission statements.
The Strategic Sourcing Purchasing Agent will serve on the strategic sourcing team, specifically supporting University of Iowa Health Care.
