About the Role
This position is responsible for providing support to Public Safety operations at Children's Wisconsin facilities. You will serve as a vital link in ensuring the safety and security of our patients, families, and staff. Your day will involve patrolling assigned areas of our facilities and grounds, responding to emergent situations, and performing inspection tours to investigate incidents.
You will act as a liaison with MRMC Campus Public Safety, local, state, and federal law enforcement, while also managing critical tasks such as weapon screening to prevent prohibited items from entering our property. In moments of crisis, you will be expected to verbally de-escalate situations and, if necessary, physically restrain patients or disruptive individuals according to established training standards to prevent imminent harm. Additionally, you will assist dispatchers, monitor surveillance systems, and provide way-finding and information services at our Welcome Center.

Requirements
- verifiedHigh School graduate or GED/HSED required
- verified1+ years customer service experience required
- verifiedBLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider required within 90 Days
- verifiedState of Wisconsin Driver's License required
- verifiedMarcus Crisis Prevention Program Certification (MCPP) required within 1 year
Nice to Have
Post high school course work in criminal justice or related field. 1+ years experience as a uniformed security officer in healthcare security, public safety, corporate security, law enforcement, and/or military service. 1+ years experience performing weapon screening.
