Territory Overview

This role covers the Queens, NY territory, including all of Queens and the Great Neck portion of Nassau County. Candidates must reside within 40 miles of these boundaries and have access to a major airport. A valid driver's license is required as driving is an essential duty of the position.

About the Role

As a Psychiatry Account Manager, you will lead the promotion of our psychiatry portfolio by executing sales and marketing strategies with comprehensive clinical knowledge. You will partner with customers to drive changes in behavior, utilizing digital tools and data-based insights to develop strategy and allocate resources effectively. This role requires navigating a rapidly changing environment to overcome commercialization challenges and uncover unique opportunities within the local market.

Key Responsibilities

  • check_circleLead promotion of psychiatry portfolio by executing sales and marketing strategies
  • check_circleCreate business plans using digital tools and data insights to maximize sales performance
  • check_circleBuild and maintain productive internal and external relationships using total office account management
  • check_circleGather market trends and apply therapeutic knowledge to uncover unique opportunities
  • check_circleAdhere to FDA regulations and company policies regarding pharmaceutical product promotion
  • check_circleTravel up to 40% domestically to meet customers and attend conferences
  • check_circleAddress payer access issues and stay informed on reimbursement dynamics for IDNs and government plans
  • check_circleDeliver compelling product messages to customers and close calls with action commitments

Requirements

  • verifiedBachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Sciences degree
  • verified2+ years pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, biologics, medical device sales or related healthcare sales experience
  • verifiedValid driver's license
  • verifiedComputer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office software
  • verifiedLiving within 40 miles of territory boundaries

Nice to Have

Previous experience within a specialty product sales force. Prior experience promoting and detailing products specific to CNS/neuroscience including depression, schizophrenia, and bipolar disorder. Documented successful sales performance. Ownership and accountability for the development and execution of fully integrated account plans. Strong analytical background and experience using sales data reporting tools to identify trends. Experience in product launches. Previous experience working with alliance partners (i.e., co-promotions). Strong leadership through participation in committees, job rotations, panels, and related activities.
