Amphenol Borisch Technologies (ABT), a division of Amphenol Corporation, is an industry leader in providing high-reliability electronic systems for Aerospace and Defense companies across the globe. Headquartered in Grand Rapids, MI, with locations in Nogales, Mexico, Mesa, AZ, and London, Ontario, ABT is focused on expanding its industry presence by delivering superior quality and service combined with advanced manufacturing capabilities.
The Prototype Technician serves as a critical bridge between evolving engineering designs and physical reality within a fast-paced prototype environment. This role is dedicated to independently building and validating complex cable and electromechanical assemblies, ensuring they meet rigorous industry standards while enhancing manufacturability.
In this position, you will partner closely with Engineering teams to interpret wire diagrams, blueprints, and schematics. Your day-to-day involves troubleshooting issues, performing root-cause analysis, and proposing process updates to refine how assemblies are built. You will also mentor less-experienced assemblers, demonstrating best practices and ensuring the entire team adheres to IPC/WHMA-A-620 specifications. Success in this role requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to work with minimal oversight to deliver high-quality first-article assemblies.
