About the Team
GDBA's Protective Intelligence Center (PIC) has a simple, but critical mission: protect our associates and support GDBA's global operations. The Protective Intelligence Analysts (PIA) who operate the PIC are trained in both executive protection and intelligence collection, enabling them to directly support GDBA's global anti-assassination mission.
About the Role
As a Protective Intelligence Analyst in San Antonio, you will serve as a vital link in our global security architecture. Your day-to-day involves monitoring protected properties using advanced technologies like cameras and early-warning systems, while managing access control procedures to screen and verify all incoming visitors. You will actively monitor news reporting, social media channels, and other sources to identify real-time global events that might impact the safety of GDBA clients and associates.
Beyond constant vigilance, you will conduct open-source intelligence (OSINT) research to identify emerging threats and complete behavioral threat assessments. Your work ensures we maintain 24/7 awareness of geopolitical, criminal, environmental, and travel-related risks, allowing us to respond to emergencies and coordinate resources effectively.
Hiring Process
Candidates selected for this role must complete a 12-Day Introductory Training Academy in San Antonio, TX. The selection process includes a physical readiness test (pull-ups, push-ups, sit-ups, and an 800m run), a swimming requirement, and a comprehensive background check. Successful candidates must also be drug and nicotine free and capable of obtaining appropriate state firearm and security licensing.
Compensation and Culture
San Antonio-based PIAs earn no less than $64,000 in base earnings during their first year, with potential to reach up to $77,000 when accounting for relevant experience, performance, and promotion opportunities.
