The Project Manager at PEC serves as the primary driver for the management and delivery of projects, ensuring alignment with client contracts and the company's high standards. This role exists to bridge the gap between client expectations and project execution, managing scope, schedule, and cost while proactively assessing and mitigating risks. The Project Manager acts as a strategic leader, making business decisions from opportunity identification through project completion with minimal oversight.
In this position, you will lead project teams through the pre-contract phase, collaborating with internal and external members to develop fee proposals and establish budgets. You will be responsible for assembling project teams, managing the flow of work across all disciplines, and providing direction to keep activities on schedule. A key part of your day involves anticipating and resolving discrepancies between client needs and contracted scope, ensuring quality control processes are followed, and communicating effectively with the Market VP and other stakeholders.
PEC values working efficiently and collaboratively to deliver quality results. The work environment is business casual, friendly, respectful, and team-oriented, featuring daily peer interactions regarding work progress, client needs, and technical issues. We strive to create an enjoyable atmosphere that offers support and opportunities for positive career growth. While much of the work is conducted within an office setting, the role requires mobility, including the ability to move materials weighing up to 25 pounds occasionally and the use of standard office equipment for over 50% of the work period.
