The Project Manager for Early Phase (EP) serves as the strategic bridge between Parexel and our sponsors, leading teams to deliver tailored clinical research solutions. Based in a home-based environment with a preference for California, Colorado, or Texas, this role demands a professional who combines deep clinical research experience with agile project management skills. You will be the central point of contact for functional teams and sponsors, ensuring operational excellence from pre-award strategy through to study close-out.
Your mission is to drive the successful execution of clinical operations and logistical strategies for Early Phase trials. You will be accountable for delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards, strictly adhering to ICH, GCP, and applicable regulations. Beyond execution, you will manage the financial health of your projects, overseeing revenue recognition, milestone payments, and compliance with contract terms and internal SOPs.
You will navigate the full lifecycle of clinical trials, starting with pre-award activities where you review materials and lead bid defenses. Once a project is awarded, you will orchestrate study start-up, overseeing site selection, contract negotiations, and regulatory approvals. Throughout the implementation phase, you will monitor recruitment, retention, and data cleaning while managing budgets and preparing for audits. Your role is dynamic, requiring you to identify risks proactively, implement contingency plans, and maintain transparent communication with sponsors regarding progress and challenges. Finally, you will lead administrative close-out procedures and facilitate lessons-learned sessions to refine future strategies.
