About the Role
The Project Engineer serves as a vital partner to the project superintendent and project manager, ensuring the seamless development and coordination of all project documentation. This role is essential for the implementation, execution, and timely completion of complex projects in the renewable energy and infrastructure sectors.
In this position, you will act as a bridge between project management, clients, and field operations. You will monitor job performance, assist with purchasing within approved budgets, and maintain a deep knowledge of project plans and specifications. Your work ensures that administrative, financial, and safety standards are met while fostering strong relationships with clients and their engineering teams. You will be part of a team that actively shapes the future of sustainable energy infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
- check_circlePrepare and manage administrative tasks including logs, submittals, shop drawings, and RFIs
- check_circleResearch and assist with prime contract and subcontract change orders
- check_circleReview overall job costs and prepare monthly reports analyzing projected costs and man-hour production
- check_circleAssist in directing and monitoring the buyout process including subcontracts and purchase orders
- check_circleReview and approve daily timecards for all project labor staff
- check_circleCollect and submit certified payroll documents as required
- check_circleProduce and monitor project schedules while providing monthly updates to the client
- check_circleAssist in the project closeout process according to established company procedures
- check_circleAnalyze subcontractor and supplier capabilities regarding quality and quantity of work
- check_circleAssist project superintendent or manager in developing and coordinating job documentation
Requirements
- verifiedMinimum of 3 years' experience in the construction industry
- verifiedOSHA 30 hr. training
- verifiedValid driver's license and insurable
- verifiedKnowledge of electrical power grid infrastructures
- verifiedWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office
- verifiedExperience with Suretrak, Primavera, or Microsoft Project
- verifiedKnowledge of AIA prime contracts and general conditions
- verifiedKnowledge of SWPP requirements and air quality control
