Our client is seeking a Project Engineer to join their team in Louisville, KY. This is a direct-hire, onsite position focused on the execution of large capital equipment projects within the power generation and heavy industrial sectors.
In this role, you will serve as the critical liaison between internal engineering teams and customer engineering groups. Your primary mission is to ensure that all engineering deliverables align with project scope, schedule, and technical specifications. You will drive the technical alignment required to integrate equipment seamlessly into customer plant systems, managing the complexities of engineering changes, scope adjustments, and technical impacts as projects evolve.
The day-to-day involves coordinating across all engineering disciplines, including structural, piping, and design, to support execution timelines and milestones set by Project Managers. You will work closely with Quality Engineers to maintain compliance with industry standards and collaborate with suppliers and vendors to ensure both technical and contractual alignment. Success in this position requires managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining strong communication with stakeholders across the organization and the client's facilities.

Direct HRSG or boiler system experience. Familiarity with ASME codes (B31.1, NBIC, Section VIII). Experience with pressure vessels or heat exchangers. Background in EPC or OEM capital equipment environments. Experience in oil & gas, nuclear, or large industrial manufacturing. Exposure to document control systems (DCAP or similar). Prior Project Engineering or Project Coordination experience. Experience working with globally outsourced manufacturing models.
