About the Role

This Project Designer (Engineer-in-Training) position is based in our St. George, Utah office and is part of the Transportation Services Group (TSG). The TSG consists of over 80 full-time staff focused on surface transportation projects across Utah, Idaho, Colorado, Washington, Nevada, Oregon, and Wyoming, currently managing over 200 active projects.

In this role, you will join a multidisciplinary design team to support the planning, design, construction, and permitting of a wide variety of transportation projects. You will work primarily for local agencies and State DOTs, utilizing both local and federal aid funds. Your day-to-day will involve operating CAD tools to produce alignments, models, and plans, analyzing engineering data to assist in producing final documents, and participating in client and public meetings. You will also coordinate with utility companies and perform periodic fieldwork, including construction observation and project reconnaissance.
