As a Project Designer, you will serve as a vital link between client vision and built reality. Your primary mission is to develop comprehensive documents, drawings, and diagrams that align with specific client goals. You will formulate preliminary space plans and sketches that integrate unique client needs, ensuring every design concept is safe, functional, and aesthetically appropriate while meeting all public health, safety, and welfare requirements.
Your day-to-day work involves determining the selection of colors, materials, and finishes to convey the intended concept while addressing socio-psychological, functional, and environmental factors. You will establish specifications for furniture, fixtures, equipment, and millwork, creating detailed layout drawings and product descriptions to facilitate pricing and procurement. Collaboration is key; you will coordinate with allied design professionals, including Audio Visual and specialty consultants, to ensure seamless project execution.
Beyond design, you will assist in the administration of contract documents, bids, and negotiations as the client's agent. You will also provide reporting on project implementation both during the construction phase and upon completion, ensuring that all non-structural and non-seismic construction documents are properly signed and sealed in compliance with jurisdictional requirements.
