About the Team

LGA Partners is a leading architecture firm headquartered in Pittsburgh, recognized as the only architecture firm in the region to earn the Pittsburgh Business Times Best Places to Work award for seven consecutive years. We are also an AIA Pennsylvania EPiC Firm, honored for our commitment to emerging professionals.

Our studio-driven culture is fueled by innovation, collaboration, and a shared commitment to delivering thoughtful, award-winning design. We believe great design comes from dynamic and collaborative teams, which is why we embrace diverse perspectives that shape our studios and strengthen our practice. Our people-first culture is built on curiosity, mutual respect, and a genuine investment in every team member's growth.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Project Architect to support our Healthcare Studio. This role is ideal for an architect passionate about healthcare design who is looking for professional growth opportunities within our fast-growing studio. You will have the flexibility to work from either our Pittsburgh Headquarters or our Cleveland Office.

In this position, you will partner with Project Leaders to implement project design and ensure overall design quality aligns with firm standards and client expectations. Your day-to-day involves developing accurate project deliverables, coordinating consultant inputs across disciplines, and conducting rigorous QA/QC reviews to ensure compliance with life safety, constructability, and quality standards. You will verify that all designs meet applicable building codes, zoning regulations, and jurisdiction requirements, while conducting thorough site analyses that address geotechnical, environmental, social, and contextual factors.

Beyond design and documentation, you will monitor construction progress to ensure the design intent is accurately implemented. You will serve as a key communicator, updating clients and internal teams on design-related decisions throughout all project phases, while managing project documentation, forms, and correspondence.

Hiring Process

Interested candidates should submit their application through our careers portal. The selection process typically involves a review of your portfolio and experience, followed by interviews with the studio leadership and potential team members to discuss your design philosophy and fit within our collaborative culture.

Equal Opportunity Employer

LGA Partners is an equal opportunity employer. We will not discriminate in hiring, promotion, discharge, pay, job training, fringe benefits, or any other aspect of employment without bias or discrimination towards race, color, religion, national origin, sex (including pregnancy), age, marital status, sexual orientation, physical or mental disability, medical condition, genetic information, veteran status, gender identity/expression, or any other protected characteristic as established by law.
