JCJ Architecture is a full-service planning, architectural, and interior design firm with a reputation for stability and sound business practices spanning more than 85 years. We serve public and private sector clients nationwide through our offices in Boston, Hartford, Las Vegas, New York, Phoenix, San Diego, and Tulsa. Consistently ranked in ENR's top 500 design firms and top 100 Green Building firms, our portfolio reflects a commitment to excellence in both commercial and institutional project types.
At JCJ, we view design as a collaborative process that balances owner goals, functional objectives, and physical context. As employee-owners, our team works to create places that strengthen communities, businesses, and institutions. We strive to design environments that help organizations and individuals thrive, leveraging our collective knowledge to deliver comprehensive services across the country.
As an Architect III, you will support the development of design and documentation while assuming individual responsibility for producing portions of these deliverables. This role involves directing junior staff in assigned areas and serving as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on specialized systems. You will liaise with Project Management, other architects, and consultants to develop and represent the lead technical viewpoint on projects. While the project scope differentiates this position from senior-level roles, you will coordinate with Directors and Department Heads on technical solutions and product strategies.
Your day-to-day involves participating in conceptual design and providing full support through the entire project lifecycle. You will convey complex information to internal and external team members, lead coordination meetings, and prepare meeting notes using standard JCJ formats. A key part of your role is refining your portfolio in a specific market sector while managing multiple projects of varying sizes. You will also assist in business development by creating presentation collateral and supporting the preparation of client presentations.
We offer a unique 100% Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP), a pay-for-performance philosophy, and a hybrid work model. Our culture is built on core competencies of respect, integrity, adaptability, and growth. We provide highly competitive benefits, career development and mentorship opportunities, an incentive compensation program, and a strong commitment to our J.E.D.I. mission. From educational assistance to employee social events, we are dedicated to supporting your professional and personal well-being.
If you are passionate about design and believe you can make a strong contribution to a stable and growing firm, we invite you to apply. We are looking for candidates who can bring creativity, technical proficiency, and a collaborative spirit to our team.
