This recruitment establishes a list of qualified candidates to fill current vacancies for Level III Program Specialist positions, which may be either temporary full-time or permanent full-time. These roles are designed to assist higher-level specialists by performing assignments of limited scope and complexity. The position involves conducting studies and analyses of specific project segments, participating in program monitoring and quality assurance activities, and providing technical consultation on state and federal laws and regulations to operating staff.
Work is performed independently under general supervision, with completed recommendations reviewed for consistency with state and federal requirements. Employees in temporary positions may gain membership in the civil service upon satisfactory completion of an initial six-month probation period, becoming eligible for promotion, transfer opportunities, and most benefits afforded to permanent employees.
