We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and coordinate preclinical research programs in Gene Editing and Gene Therapy for genetic hearing loss. This role serves as the critical bridge between scientific ambition and operational execution, ensuring that early therapeutic development projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in full compliance with regulatory standards.
In this position, you will oversee cross-functional teams and manage complex collaborations with external partners, including Contract Research Organizations (CROs), academic institutions, and biotech companies. You will be the primary point of contact for stakeholders ranging from scientific and operational teams to regulatory bodies, ensuring seamless communication and alignment with program objectives.
Your day-to-day involves leading the planning and execution of preclinical studies, from molecular and cellular experiments to in vivo models. You will develop detailed project plans that track milestones, resources, and risks, while also preparing and reviewing study protocols and reports for internal and external submissions. Beyond project management, you will monitor technological trends in gene editing to recommend innovative approaches and support business development efforts by engaging with potential collaborators.
This role sits within a dynamic environment dedicated to advancing gene therapy and precision medicine. The team is driven by a passion for solving complex genetic challenges, specifically targeting hearing loss. Success in this role requires a proactive mindset, the ability to work independently while fostering collaboration, and a willingness to "roll up sleeves" to support experimental work as needed.
Candidates will be evaluated based on their proven experience in preclinical project management, particularly in gene editing or gene therapy programs. The selection process will focus on demonstrating hands-on knowledge of relevant biological techniques, the ability to manage cross-functional teams, and familiarity with regulatory requirements for Investigational New Drug (IND) applications.
