The College of Nursing is a dynamic hub within this ecosystem, collaborating with practice partners like Bluebonnet Trails and the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) to advance healthcare simulation and education.
The Program Coordinator II serves as a vital support for several grant-funded projects within the College of Nursing. This role exists to bridge the gap between strategic vision and operational execution, working collaboratively with College leadership, the Principal Investigator, Co-Investigators, and external partners to meet program objectives.
In this position, you will provide oversight, direction, and analytical support for simulation initiatives. Your day-to-day involves coordinating the creation and evaluation of virtual reality experiences, developing simulated learning experiences that align with course outcomes, and conducting impact evaluations to ensure program goals are met. You will also manage critical reporting requirements for HRSA, oversee fiscal activities, and assist in identifying new funding opportunities. This is a grant-funded position, meaning future employment is contingent upon continued funding.

Texas drivers license or the ability to obtain one within 30 days of employment. Master's degree or higher in a health related field. Familiarity with the Healthcare Standards of Best Practice for Simulation™. Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator (CHSE) or Certified Healthcare Simulation Operations Specialist (CHSOS). Experience with collecting, managing, and analyzing data. Experience in evaluating simulated learning experience. Virtual Reality/Augmented reality experience utilizing Oculus VR headsets. Knowledge in the utilization of high-fidelity manikins for healthcare simulation.
