We are seeking an experienced, patient-centered Surgery Scheduler to coordinate the entire journey of Mohs and dermatologic surgery, from initial referral through post-operative follow-up. This role is vital to ensuring a smooth surgical experience, requiring a strong command of Mohs workflow and dermatology pathology terminology to confidently answer patient questions and explain next steps.
In this position, you will serve as a key liaison between patients, providers, and the pathology team. You will interpret complex pathology reports to support scheduling decisions and communicate surgical plans with clarity and empathy. Your day will involve managing a high-volume schedule, coordinating prior authorizations, and ensuring all documentation is accurate within the EMR. You will also provide essential support on surgery days, assisting with patient check-ins and coordinating repairs and photos.
The ideal candidate possesses specific experience in dermatology or Mohs scheduling and can confidently explain pathology results and procedural next steps to patients. You will be a reliable, team-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing urgent cases while maintaining a calm and organized demeanor.
