About the Practice
We are a growing, multi-site dermatology practice serving the Triangle Area, with locations in Raleigh, Chapel Hill, Cary, Sanford, Pittsboro, and Fuquay-Varina. Our mission is to provide exceptional dermatological care through efficient patient flow and accurate clinical documentation. We are seeking dedicated Full-Time Medical Assistants to join our team and support our providers in delivering high-quality patient experiences across our in-clinic locations.
About the Role
As a Medical Assistant in our Dermatology department, you will be the backbone of our clinical operations. This role is designed for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced, procedure-heavy environment. You will work alongside providers to manage patient flow, ensuring every visit is smooth and productive. Your day will involve a dynamic mix of clinical tasks, from rooming patients and updating medical histories to assisting with complex procedures like biopsies, excisions, and cryotherapy.
Beyond clinical duties, you will play a key role in patient education, explaining treatment plans and post-procedure instructions with clarity and empathy. You will also handle administrative responsibilities such as scribing in the EMR, managing lab requisitions, and responding to patient inquiries within one business day. This is an in-clinic position with daytime hours, offering the flexibility to work across nearby locations based on provider needs.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements
- verifiedHigh School Diploma or GED
- verifiedAssociate's degree or higher
- verifiedCMA, RMA, or CDT certification
- verifiedExperience as a Medical Assistant in an outpatient clinical setting
- verifiedComfort using EMR/EHR systems
Nice to Have
Experience with ModMed/EMA. Dermatology experience. Experience supporting procedure-heavy clinics and/or multiple providers.
