This is an excellent opportunity to join the Community & Library Services Department at City Hall, working under the direction of the Community and Library Services Manager. The ideal candidate will partner with the division to expand public service programs, specifically supporting the Grow HB Outdoor Volunteer Program and assisting in the creation of a city-wide memorials program.
This position serves as a vital bridge between the City, volunteers, and the public. You will provide on-site support during volunteer workdays, manage program logistics, and ensure high-quality customer service for all participants. The role requires a blend of office-based administrative tasks and active field work, including weekend activities and outdoor environments.

This is a Non-Permanent, Part-Time position. Temporary and part-time employment is restricted to 1,000 hours within a 12-month period (July 1 – June 30). As a temporary employee, you do not qualify for standard City benefits, except those required by law. However, enrollment in the Public Agency Retirement System (PARS) is mandatory, requiring an employee contribution of 7.5% of base earnings. The City is not part of the Social Security system. Employment is at-will and may end with or without cause or advance notice.
