APS supplies mission equipment directly to original equipment manufacturers and government entities for integration on larger systems.
Raytheon's Electronic Warfare Systems (EWS) is seeking a motivated Program Chief Engineer for their Electronic Warfare Systems / Emerging Programs product line. This role serves as the single engineering leadership point of contact, responsible for the engineering execution of an entire program, overseeing all technical, schedule, and financial aspects.
Reporting to the Emerging Programs Area Chief Engineer, you will lead a product team through the system and project lifecycles, including technology maturation, development, verification, production, and sustainment. As the technical focal point for the product line, you will interface with customer senior technical counterparts, functional organizations, and leadership. The role involves providing technical oversight to external vendors to ensure requirements and schedule compliance, while offering leadership to the test architect and lead systems engineer. You will also guide the Digital Engineering and Model-Based strategy for the product.
This is an onsite position located in Goleta, CA, with travel required approximately 10% of the time to support programs and customers.
Candidates must possess an active and transferable U.S. government-issued Secret security clearance prior to the start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance. The DCSA Consolidated Adjudication Services (DCSA), an agency of the Department of Defense, handles and adjudicates the security clearance process.

Advanced degree in STEM. Design experience with Electronic Support (ES), Radar Warning Receivers (RWR), and Electronic Attack (EA) systems, or other Electronic Warfare systems of similar complexity. Experience in factory establishment, production experience, and ability to facilitate and coordinate activities across multiple facilities and locations. Systems Architecture experience. Experience with capture effort coordination and developing proposals to obtain funding, spanning technical proposal development, work breakdown structures and cost estimation. Ability to communicate effectively with senior leadership, other engineering disciplines and external customers / stakeholders.
