About the Opportunity

Catapult is assisting the Burroughs Wellcome Fund in their search for a Program Associate or Program Manager. This is a hybrid role based in Durham, NC, supporting the Fund's competitive and ad hoc award programs within Science Education and Diversity.

About the Role

The Program Associate/Manager serves as a critical support pillar for key processes and activities, managing application and review workflows while overseeing grant portfolios. The position acts as the primary point of contact for applicants, grantees, and advisory committee members, ensuring smooth communication and operational efficiency.

Reporting to a Senior Program Officer, the role contributes to a range of educational, diversity, and strategic initiatives. Depending on the level (Associate or Manager), the incumbent will engage in tasks ranging from preparing RFPs and maintaining grant records to coordinating sponsored events and refining program strategy. The role also involves co-supervising a Program Coordinator and providing training and task delegation.
