The Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC) is a unique economic development entity of the federal government and 13 state governments. We focus on 423 counties across the Appalachian Region with a mission to innovate, partner, and invest to build community capacity and strengthen economic growth. Our goal is to help the Region achieve socioeconomic parity with the nation.
ARC is seeking a Program Analyst to facilitate and execute a broad range of tasks encompassing the full lifecycle of the Partnerships for Opportunity & Workforce & Economic Revitalization (POWER) program. You will also coordinate aspects of the Appalachian Regional Initiative for Stronger Economies (ARISE) initiative.
In this role, you will serve as a vital link in a complex network, coordinating with the thirteen ARC states that comprise the Appalachian region. Your work will involve close collaboration with Local Development Districts (LDDs), other federal administering agencies, state agencies, grantees, and local agencies. You will thrive in a collaborative environment, bringing an energetic and innovative approach to your work while managing project timelines and producing key deliverables.
ARC offers a collaborative work environment and a competitive benefits package, including health insurance, a 401(k), paid time off, a commuting subsidy, and professional development opportunities. While this is not a federal position, federal employees selected for this role may be able to continue their retirement and life/health insurance benefits if they transfer without a break in service of more than three calendar days. ARC generally follows the General Schedule Salary Table of the Federal government.
Our team is dedicated to innovation, partnerships, and investments in the Appalachian Region. We invite you to read more about our strategic plan, Appalachia Envisioned, to learn about our goals and the impact of our work.
