About the Role
This Production Planning Assistant position is based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, supporting a growing manufacturing operation. This role is about flow—not theory, and not meetings. Flow. If documentation is wrong, production slows. If it is late, production stops. Your job is to ensure neither happens.
You will manage production packets, process engineering changes, and keep multiple facilities aligned with accurate, current information. You will serve as the critical link between internal teams and production schedules, ensuring all locations have the documentation needed to maintain momentum. The environment is fast-paced, driven by strict production schedules and deadlines, requiring frequent coordination with cross-functional teams across multiple facilities.

Key Responsibilities

- check_circleEnsure all documentation is accurate, complete, and aligned with department requirements
- check_circleDistribute production packets across multiple facilities and coordinate delivery
- check_circleReview and process Engineering Change Notices to ensure updates are applied correctly
- check_circleReplace drawings and documents in active production packets based on ECNs
- check_circlePrioritize workload based on production schedules and deadlines
- check_circleCoordinate with internal teams to ensure all locations have necessary documentation
- check_circleIdentify opportunities to improve documentation processes and operational efficiency
Requirements
- verifiedExperience in an administrative or manufacturing support role
- verifiedAbility to interpret technical drawings or willingness to learn quickly
- verifiedProficiency with Excel
- verifiedExperience with ERP systems
- verifiedExperience with Adobe SharePoint or Smartsheet
Nice to Have
Familiarity with Engineering Change Notices. Experience managing production documentation and engineering drawings. Experience working with ERP systems. Proficiency with Excel, Adobe, SharePoint, or Smartsheet.
