This position is a vital part of our operations, focused on transforming raw materials into finished reinforcing steel products. You will be responsible for the end-to-end fabrication process, including bending, cutting, bundling, and loading steel bars according to specific customer orders. The role requires operating a variety of specialized machinery, such as shearing machines, bending machines, overhead cranes, Fabmatic machines, and power saws, to ensure precision and efficiency.
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor. In this safety-sensitive role, you are expected to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times. You will work in a dynamic environment that may be noisy, dusty, hot, or cold, and you must be prepared to work overtime and any shift as required to meet production needs.
