About the Role
This Production Manager position is designed for a self-motivated, goal-oriented leader who thrives on maximizing business results. You will serve as the strategic bridge between senior management and the production floor, responsible for communicating the company's vision and operational goals to a team of approximately 30 employees. Your day-to-day involves leading, coaching, and supervising production and transportation supervisors to ensure efficient workflows, on-time deliveries, and strict adherence to safety and quality standards.
In this night shift role (Monday–Friday, 9 PM–7 AM), you will foster a "whatever it takes" attitude to drive performance. You will oversee employee training and development, manage inventory levels, and implement cost-control processes to optimize resource utilization. As a mentor and change agent, you will identify opportunities for process improvement, lead initiatives to reduce waste, and maintain accurate production reports for cross-departmental communication.

- check_circleOversee employee training and development, including onboarding new team members and reinforcing proper work methods
- check_circleEnsure product quality by overseeing inspections and verifying that all products meet company specifications
- check_circleMonitor inventory levels and implement effective cost-control processes to maintain operational efficiency
- check_circleEnsure on-time delivery of products by managing production schedules and coordinating workflow across departments
- check_circleMaintain accurate and timely production reports and communicate operational updates to senior management
- check_circleProvide timely feedback on employee performance, including performance reviews and disciplinary actions
- check_circleIdentify and implement cost-reduction opportunities by improving processes and reducing waste
- check_circleControl operational expenses by minimizing labor overtime, premium freight, and equipment repair costs
Requirements
- verified5 years management experience in manufacturing environment
- verifiedBachelor's degree from a four-year college or university or equivalent combination of education and experience
- verifiedKnowledge of manufacturing software, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- verifiedBackground with manufacturing methods, process improvement programs and procedures including lean manufacturing techniques
