Legends Global Denver operates the Ellie Theater at the Denver Performing Arts Complex (DPAC), a premier venue for opera, ballet, and touring productions. The Theatrical Services team is dedicated to delivering world-class event experiences, serving as the vital bridge between resident companies, promoters, and the venue's operational infrastructure. The Production Manager serves as the focal point for all back-of-house operations at the Ellie Theater. In this role, you will coordinate, organize, and manage a diverse array of events, acting as the primary liaison between venue management, labor crews, and external clients. Your day-to-day involves overseeing daily event activities, managing stagehand payroll and scheduling, and ensuring the maintenance of venue production equipment.
You will work closely with Opera and Ballet companies, promoters, and tour managers to advance events, generate labor calls, and create accurate cost estimates. A significant portion of your time will be spent communicating event details to venue operations, security, front-of-house staff, and catering teams. You will also conduct site visits, verify contract accuracy, and walk venue spaces to confirm that client needs are met and setups are correct prior to each event.
Beyond event execution, you will play a key role in departmental development by assisting in the creation of policies, safety programs, and long-term planning. You will monitor the application of the Legends Global/IATSE collective bargaining agreement, ensure adherence to all company policies regarding professionalism and safety, and manage human resource concerns, including investigations and disciplinary actions. This position requires a leader who can maintain high levels of customer service while navigating sudden deadlines and changing priorities in a dynamic, unionized environment.
