The Production Manager serves as a strategic leader and mentor for the production team, responsible for communicating the company's vision and operational goals. This role exists to maximize business results by managing daily production operations, ensuring efficient workflows, and maintaining high standards of product quality and safety. You will lead, coach, and supervise production and transportation supervisors overseeing approximately 30 employees, fostering a "whatever it takes" attitude to get the job done.
In this position, you will drive a safe work environment by monitoring facility conditions and ensuring compliance with OSHA standards. You will oversee employee training and development, from onboarding new team members to reinforcing proper work methods. The role requires identifying cost-reduction opportunities, optimizing resource utilization, and controlling operational expenses to maintain efficiency. You will also manage production schedules to ensure on-time delivery and provide timely feedback on employee performance to senior management and support teams.
