The Product Manager, Foot & Ankle serves as the strategic bridge between clinical needs and commercial success. This position is dedicated to managing the product lifecycle, from initial market assessment to full commercialization. You will drive product promotion, advertising, and literature development while ensuring the product line remains responsive to customer needs and market opportunities.
In this role, you will act as a central hub, collaborating closely with surgeon opinion leaders, design teams, operations, R&D, quality/regulatory, and medical education groups. Your day-to-day involves translating complex customer requirements into actionable product definitions and guiding cross-functional teams through the development process. You will also be responsible for developing and executing go-to-market strategies for new product launches, ensuring seamless integration with sales and marketing efforts.
You are a highly organized and detail-oriented professional with excellent time management and communication skills. Success in this role requires the ability to work effectively across diverse functions, coordinating activities to achieve desired results. You possess strong public speaking and presentation skills, allowing you to confidently engage with healthcare professionals and internal stakeholders alike.
A key aspect of this position involves direct interaction with customers at hospitals and conferences. You must be comfortable meeting with key Healthcare Professionals (HCPs) and Sales Agents to gather feedback, explain procedures, and build strong, lasting relationships. Additionally, the role requires the physical ability to work with cadaver specimens and the capacity to serve as a member of a credentialing agency.
Candidates with a Bachelor's degree (preferably in business, marketing, engineering, or clinical fields) or a Master's degree are encouraged to apply. Prior experience in medical device sales, marketing, product management, engineering, or clinical settings is required, with a preference for those experienced in Foot & Ankle, Spine, Upper Extremity, or Trauma specialties.
