This role serves the HTPG Division of Rheem, located in Scottsboro, AL. As a leader at Rheem, how you achieve results is as important as the results you achieve. The team is dedicated to driving Safety, Quality, and Continuous Improvement efforts in conjunction with supervision, ensuring that production lines operate efficiently and safely.
The Product Engineer III acts as a critical bridge between design engineering and manufacturing operations. You will be responsible for providing the documentation necessary for the production of refrigeration products, ensuring that bills of material are structured and routed correctly. Your work will involve coil sizing, wiring schematic development, and component selection to support daily sales orders and new product development.
In this position, you will customize existing products to meet special customer requirements and assist in maintaining current product configurators for order entry and BOM accuracy. You will also support the shop floor by interpreting drawings, providing work instructions, and troubleshooting technical product questions for sales and customers. A key part of your mission is to explore modeling automation potential to improve ETO documentation, standardize designs, and reduce BOM errors.
Candidates are encouraged to demonstrate strong analytical skills and the ability to interface effectively with coworkers, managers, and customers. Those with experience in the Toyota Production System or Oracle ERP may stand out, as will those with an advanced degree in Engineering or specific experience in the design and development of evaporators and condensing units for commercial refrigeration applications.
