This position serves as the face of our brand within retail environments, focusing on engaging shoppers through dynamic food and non-food demonstrations. The Associate is responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere where consumers can experience products firsthand. Success in this role relies on the ability to proactively intercept and interact with customers, effectively communicating product features and benefits in a professional and positive manner.
The day-to-day involves preparing and serving food samples using various small appliances, maintaining a sterile and safe workstation, and ensuring the event table is set up for optimal execution. Beyond the demonstration itself, the role requires building rapport with store personnel to meet company and client objectives, as well as handling administrative tasks such as expense reporting and submitting online requirements immediately following events.
This is a part-time opportunity, typically not exceeding 25 hours per week, though hours may fluctuate based on business and client needs. The role is based in a retail store environment with limited travel.
To succeed in this role, candidates should possess a High School diploma or GED, or have one to three months of related experience and/or training. Proficiency with personal computers, mobile devices, and internal systems is essential, including the ability to navigate electronic forms and documents.
A local Food Handlers permit may be required depending on the location. Candidates must be able to perform physical tasks such as standing and walking throughout a shift, lifting and carrying up to 25 pounds (occasionally up to 50 pounds), and operating kitchen appliances like microwaves, fryers, and coffee makers. A professional appearance and adherence to specific retailer dress code requirements are mandatory.
While English is the primary language skill, bilingual abilities may be required based on business necessity. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties of this job.
