This position serves as the face of our brand within retail environments, focusing on engaging shoppers through dynamic food and non-food demonstrations. The Associate is responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere where consumers can experience products firsthand. Success in this role relies on the ability to proactively intercept and interact with customers, effectively communicating product features and benefits in a positive, professional manner.
Your day involves preparing, serving, and breaking down products, equipment, and supplies. You will utilize small appliances such as microwaves, fryers, skillets, and coffee makers to prepare food samples for tasting. Maintaining a clean, sterile, and safe workstation using appropriate cleaning chemicals is a daily priority. Beyond the demonstration table, you will set up event tables, assist with client visits, and complete necessary audits and expense reports. Strong rapport with store personnel is essential to meet company and client objectives.
This role operates within a retail store environment with limited travel. The position is designed as a part-time role, typically not exceeding 25 hours per week, though hours may fluctuate based on business and client needs. The work requires standing and walking throughout the shift, handling various kitchen equipment, and occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds. A professional appearance and adherence to specific retailer dress codes are mandatory.
Candidates must possess a high school diploma or GED, or equivalent experience. Proficiency with personal computers, mobile devices, and internal systems (including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and PDF forms) is required. A local food handler's permit may be necessary depending on the location. Bilingual skills are a plus based on business necessity.
