About the Team
Cardinal Health's Pharmacy Operations group ensures the safe, efficient, and effective coordination of pharmacy services for a diverse range of healthcare settings, including acute care hospitals, retail customers, ambulatory care facilities, and oncology and cardiology practices. The team is dedicated to providing customized pharmacy program solutions that reduce costs while improving patient care quality for hospitals and integrated healthcare providers.
About the Role
Cardinal Health manages the pharmacy at PAM Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Houston Heights and is currently recruiting for a PRN Pharmacist. This role is designed to work as needed during facility hours and on call. The facility operates Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with on-call availability required for after-hours, weekends, and holidays.
In this position, you will provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care services to hospital patients. Your day-to-day responsibilities include overseeing, monitoring, preparing, and dispensing medications, as well as ensuring proper documentation of patient medication therapy. You will serve as a key resource for drug information and patient education, while managing oversight of information and dispensing systems. A critical part of your role involves collaborating with the team to ensure strict compliance with Federal, State, and local laws, alongside maintaining proper storage and documentation standards for all pharmaceuticals.
